This page collects suggested tests via refights/historical encounters for the draft DBMM rules.

It is hoped to collect OOBs, scearios and AARs here so that other players can also try to

reproduce the results.

Suggestions so far are:

Spanish vs Moors/Andalusians

pits Reg Sp(O) (Murabit) and (I) (Andalusian) and Irr Sp(I)

(post-Murabit Moors) vs Kn(F), (O) and (I) (as well as the Sp of various

types against each other). I'll be attempting to find time to try some

of these out.

Etruscans, Campanians etc vs Latins

Latins, because that means Sp(S), (O) and (I), Bd(O) and (I) in various

combinations.

La Forbie

lau_hohlong: La Forbie would be a good Cv v Kn test. FWIW, a v1.0 "based on" at equal points

showed Kn(O) more than a match for pipped-up RegCv S and O - I danced, I feigned

flight, I flanked, I overlapped - and died in droves.

First Battle of Singara, 344AD,

adriancoombshoar: I shall be doing a refight of the First Battle of Singara, 344AD,

Constantius II vs Sharpur II, probably at 240AP scale on 24th January

  (which is incidently my birthday). This will a good test of Irreg Cv(S).

Italiot Hoplites

Lawrence G: Based on recent discussion, I suggest that useful lessons could be learned from

full games with Italiot Hoplites as Sp(I) and as Sp(O) versus the same selection

of neighbours,

Romans

Lawrence G:also various Romans with different mixes of (I) (O) and (S)

blades versus their historical opponents including each other.

Battle of Strasburg 357AD

adriancoombshoar: I will also be doing a refight of the Battle of Strasburg 357AD, Julian vs The

Barbarians! 240AP again. This will test out Warband vs Blades.

Minoan vs Hittite Empire

rob b: will try this as it has a lot of I troops on both sides. Plus it is mainly a mounted vs foot battle.
